North Caucasus Krai

North Caucasus Krai ((ロシア語:Се́веро-Кавка́зский край)) was an administrative division (a ''krai'') of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. It was established on October 17, 1924.
As of 1932 population of krai estimated as 10,290,000. Area - 351,8 thousand km2. 45.9% of the overall population was Russians, and 37.2% of the overall population was Ukrainians.
As of the 1937 All-Union Census, the krai had population of 1,635,277.〔( USSR Population Distribution (1937) )〕
After undergoing numerous administrative changes, it was renamed Ordzhonikidze Krai (), after Sergo Ordzhonikidze, in March 1937, and Stavropol Krai on January 12, 1943.
